HUNGRY

How hungry are you?

I mean, hungry for life change -- hungry for God to solve the problem you can't solve on your own?

Because hungry people are desperate people.  They'll do anything to see their life situation resolved.

How desperate for God are you - to see Him come and make a breakthrough change in your . . .

... marriage?
... family?
... business?
... body?
... direction?

How desperate are you for God to do a miracle in your life?

Because hungry people are desperate people.

Are you hungry for God to show up?

'Hungry people are desperate people.'

'Look right, look left -- there isn't a soul who cares ... I'm up against it, with no exit ... alone.  I cry out: "God, You're my last chance, my only hope for life!"  I've never been this low.  Get me out of this dungeon so I can thank you in public.  Your people will form a circle around me and You'll bring me showers of blessing.'  (Psalm 142:4-7, MSG)

Yes.

And be blessed.

Yesterday was a great service. Seems like when we get the most simple and the most hungry and the most humble and empty, we then have no issues gathering around the altar.

One great nugget from yesterday's sermon was this, at least for me. When we feel pressed in or in trouble, get simple with God and try not to get too complicated. I like that. Back to basics. He is God. He is good. We are sinners but He has saved us. Whatever happens to us here may seem like trouble or pain at times but it will be forgotten in eternity - and it is not worth comparing to the glory that will be revealed...
