SEVEN

Today is the 7th day before Christmas.  In the song, The Twelve Days of Christmas, 7 stands for 7 swans-a-swimming.

That reminds us of the number of perfection in the Bible:  7.  It is a number that occupies so large a place in the Scriptures it could hardly be contained in one blog post.  It's used in a way no other number is used.

The root from which it comes in the Hebrew means "to be full or satisfied, to have enough."

On the seventh day God rested from His work of creation.  It was full - complete - good - perfect.  From it we get the word "Shavath" - to cease, desist - and "Shabbath" - Sabbath - day of rest.

Abraham received a 7-fold blessing from God.
God made a 7-part covenant with Israel.
There is a 7-fold qualification for service in Judges 6.
The promises to the Churches in Revelation are 7.
There are 7 seals, 7 trumpets, 7 vials, 7 horns, 7 candlesticks, 7 plagues of judgment at the end.
Jesus performs 7 miracles on the Sabbath.
Jesus speaks 7 statements from the cross.

There are hundreds of examples of '7' in the Bible.

Perfect.

And be blessed.

When you speak of the seven days for God to create the Earth, it makes me think of the marvels of the intricacy of life...every cell, every atom, every neuron. Also, on the other side, are the galaxies and endless universe. We keep discovering more and more planets, stars, moons...and that is just what we know of, so far.

This a Facebook page a friend has, called Biblical Creations:

It is just awe-inspiring to see all of the different species that our God has created. Many we have never even heard of...yet He did.

Each of us is different...no other person in the world is like you, and God loves YOU and me, just as we are, yet He helps us become better, too. We all leave our very own fingerprints. I read, in a article, that babies in the womb develop fingerprints just within weeks of being conceived. No one can possibly say this is not a baby, no matter what pro-choice people may say. But this post isn't really about that.

So many times I have seen sights that would take your breath away at the beauty. Some as simple as a rose. Others like the Grand Canyon. I have been there and it is indescribable. It seems to never end.

There is no rational way that one could deny the miracle of God. This is not created from the Big Bang. And we are blessed that He loved us enough to give us life and all of His wonderful creation.

Yes, seven days is perfect.

Check out the Facebook page. It is amazing!
