NOUNS

Someone recently sent me a list of the 100 Most Common Nouns.  I found the list extremely interesting, particularly the Top Ten.

Each is a sermon -- among the most meaningful and powerful words in the life of a believer and in the Gospel of Jesus ... 

1.  TIME
"For everything there is a season and a TIME for every matter under heaven."  Ecclesiastes 3:1

2.  YEAR
"Receive My sayings and the YEARS of your life will be many."  Proverbs 4:10

3.  PEOPLE
"You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar PEOPLE; that you would show the praises of Him who has called you."  I Peter 2:9

4.  WAY
"Jesus said, 'I am the WAY, the truth and the life;  no one comes to the Father, but by Me.'"  John 14:6

5.  DAY
"With the Lord a DAY is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a DAY."  2 Peter 3:8

6.  MAN
"What is MAN that You are mindful of him, the Son of MAN that you care for him?  Psalm 8:4

7.  THING
"God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory: no good THING will He withhold from those who walk uprightly."  Psalm 84:11

8.  WOMAN
"A WOMAN who fears the Lord is to be praised."  Proverbs 31:30

9.  LIFE
"God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal LIFE."  John 3:16 

10.  CHILD
"If you are a CHILD of God, then you are an heir of God, a co-heir with Christ."  Romans 8:17
