CHICK-FIL-A

Word is that today is National Chick-Fil-A Day.  Admittedly, the day has been called by a regular citizen, but still.  Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee declared it 'Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day.'

Dan Cathy, Chick-Fil-A president, said the company was 'guilty as charged' for backing 'the Biblical definition of family.'  That has, of course, unleashed a torrent of backlash from groups who have called for a boycott of Chick-Fil-A as well as attempts to block the chain from opening any new stores.

So - fans of Chick-Fil-A are calling for everyone in support of the restaurant - as well as the principles - to eat at their restaurants today.

The nearest ones to Kenosha are at Regency Mall in Racine and down in Gurnee.

Our team went to Racine today to grab some sandwiches for everybody.

GO, CHICK-FIL-A!

And be blessed.

I spit in your sandwich

I already ate it. Nice try, but too late.

I post this comment mainly so the readers can read for themselves the lovely sentiment that is out there on this - and the anonymous and 'classy' way in which it is expressed.

Blessings . . .

KFA went to CFA for lunch. Nice. Just read an article that Regency CFA had served 2000 with an hour and a half wait. Good for CFA and Mr. Cathy.

PK, I knew you could not pass this up. As far as someone wanting to spit in your sandwich, well I hope that was a joke. Yeah for PK and Chick-fil-A...hey that rhymes.

Why post that you spit in someone's sandwich and use up all your courage and then not post your name? Not enough courage in that can to claim to be the classless tasteless person posting that is there?

I am very happy to see the support for Chick-Fil-A. I don't see Mr. Cathy's statement as hateful, at all. I have a gay friend who felt as CEO he shouldn't have shared his personal opinion, due to a loss in sales. I disagreed with him. I give kudos to Cathy for being honest. Many CEO's would gloss over it and be politically correct. He doesn't just give his beliefs lip-service and that is refreshing. All that said, I am torn about same-sex marriage, leaning towards allowing it. But I have complete respect for Mr. Cathy and so many others who hold the same views. I wish that both sides would contain themselves to being repectful and considerate. It is unfortunate to see so many who are cruel, on both sides.
