VALUES POLL

Please help us out by filling out the VALUES POLL at left. I would love to hear your thoughts on the subject. Read Sunday's blog to get a context for what we're talking about here.

If you were at our Sunday evening leaders meeting, you don't need to weigh in on it, since I'm trying not to duplicate. Thanks again.

And be blessed.

I'm surprised at the lack of votes on "Culturally Aware"... If we don't know what points of view our neighbors are coming from, how can we effectively be a part of impacting their lives? If we don't know how to relate to someone's cultural perspective then we might not be able to love them unconditionally in a way that they'd understand how much we care. Ya know?

Yes, Allison. I agree Culturally Aware is important. I'm guessing some people checked RELEVANCE on the values poll to mean somewhat the same thing. If you combine those two answers, it's pretty high up there.

PK,
As usual I would love to know your answer but know you won't tell us. So many of these overlap, or if you choose one, you infer another. I chose 2 of the 3 top ones, but one I feel is important is at the bottom of the list. So what does it all mean? I am a little worried about how the church today (all churches) are using numbers to determine things, statistics. Thankfully we have the Bible to guide us as you said in the blog.
As for missing the leadership meeting, not all are invited to that correct?
Thanks for allowing us to participate.
So happy for the fun you are having with the fam.

All of the words are good and I understand how it is difficult to choose. You are right that we listen to the Word on these things, but the Bible doesn't tell us what KFA's specific church values should be. It gives us VALUES, but not what should define our particular Assembly. The PURPOSES of church are given in the Scripture - so is our MISSION - it tells us what those are. But the CORE VALUES are up for grabs depending on how God wants us to shine His light within our community, different than the church down the block.

And yes ... regrettably ... we wanted to keep this particular get together on the smaller side - so we invited some people to that one.
