WALL-E

Today began our "At The Movies" series, hooking into what our culture presently values by way of movies and seeing what God has to say about it.

The film we looked at today was "Wall-E."
Some excerpts from the day were: Everyone has a need for community with others. Nobody is an island. We all search for love, acceptance, belonging and caring. The best joy is giving ourselves away.
God is in the redemption business and He doesn't make any junk.
I don't want to just SURVIVE; I want to LIVE.
And be blessed.

I just went to a fabulous service at Oak Creek Assembly of God. The theme was a life on FIRE for God is a PLUGGED-IN life. That means plugged in to God, first of all, but plugged into others with a mission from the Lord. I feel as if I am on a rocket in my journey and half of the fun is sharing it and taking others with me. Oak Creek has SO much outreach in the community and I intend to soak up every bit of wisdom I can and bring it to KFA, too. As the pastor said...missionaries are wonderful, but we are ALL ministers of God...we all have a purpose to which we were born. My only prayer all night was that God use me up....every bit of me. I am more than ready and anyone that wants to go with me is welcome to join in the adventure. PK, I know in my heart that you have that same passion to do God's will and I will never, ever leave you behind. I am on the fast track to my next phase as a Christian and I never would have come this far without you. You have taught me so much....now I am going to share what I learn with you. :) It's all terribly exciting!

I have been attending KFA now since January. I feel that I have been brought to the church for a reason and am beginning to feel renewed- which I haven't had in quite some time. I attended the "Meet the Pastors" lunch today as well, and really enjoyed it. Thank you for all you do.

Just wanted you to know that it's nice to come here every day and read words that came from you and see the picture of you and mom. Makes me feel like I'm with you for a few minutes. :)

Love!
