AED

Yesterday was a day filled with irony.

It began with the funeral I was privileged to conduct of a friend who died of cancer. I have talked about her on here a couple of times. She finally succumbed and passed away to heaven. Her service was Saturday morning. They released 100 balloons into the air outside afterwards as a symbol of her life of reaching out to others. Who knows where they will all land?

I went from there DIRECTLY to a class on how to administer CPR. Anyone see the irony in that? We learned how to operate AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and practiced on little dummies (not real people) on the floor ... 30 hard presses on the upper chest followed by 2 breaths into the open mouth ... and repeat. Didn't realize how tiring that could be. I'm glad to have the new knowledge. Always been something I've wanted to know.

Yesterday also happened to the 25th birthday of our eldest daughter, Whitney. Happy birthday, Whit.

And be blessed.
