PRAY

Today, in church, we heard about prayer. So I thought I would simply furnish you with some of my favorite quotes about prayer here:

"Pray, and let God worry." (Martin Luther)

"Prayer is as natural an expression of faith as breathing is of life." (Jonathan Edwards)

"All prayers are answered if we are willing to admit that sometimes the answer is 'No.' (Unknown)

"Many pray as if God were a big aspirin pill; they only come when they hurt." (B. Graham Dienert)

"Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers; pray for powers equal to your tasks. (Phillip Brooks)

"Make it hard on God and easy on yourself." (Harald Bredeson)

Be blessed today.

Love your blog. Harald Bredesen always said regarding prayer, "Make it hard on God and easy on yourself." In essence he meant, God can handle it, just give it to HIM.

PK, I have been reading your blogs for a while now and love it! I was glad to see they put a notice in the bulletin at church so others may be blessed as well, even if it is just for a laugh, a smile or sincere thoughts on faith and the Lord. Thank you and keep it up.
Be Blessed!

I enjoy your blog. I only found it yesterday. Here is a Bill Bright quote about prayer. It is probably one that the whole church should read.

“No segment of society is more strategic and in more in need of prayer than pastors and their families, ... They urgently and desperately need our love, encouragement and earnest prayers.”

God bless you, JW
